"Runaway Vows is worth every single penny and so much more. Not only do we have an epic wedding film that blew our minds, we have new best friends. Jake and Nate are the most amazing humans you’ll ever work with and their talent is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Runaway Vows is the best decision we made for our wedding! Hire them!"
In the Hills of Redlands California, Sydney + Nick throw the party of the year with their closest friends and family. Every detail, meticulously hand picked by the bride herself. This couple’s adventurous spirit and devotion to one another helped them plan the wedding day of their dreams - focused more on the union of their lives than the wedding party itself. Nick and Sydney chose to do a private first look before their ceremony, and also wanted an Adventure Session out in the hills with just us. Because they are a couple that value the intimate moments in life. They cherish them, and hold them sacred

"The moment Gueric & I got engaged, we knew we wanted to hire Runaway Vows as our videographer. Repeatedly Gueric & I turn to one another and say how grateful we are that we did just that. They are such easy going guys & majority of the wedding day I didn’t even notice they were there! As someone who gets uncomfortable with cameras in their face, I was very appreciative of how comfortable they made me feel throughout my entire wedding. When we received our film, we were blown away. The attention to detail was what stood out the most. They captured our relationship and the important elements of our special day. We are so grateful that we have this video to watch for the rest of our lives!"
February 2020... the month before the entire world shut down. This wedding was the high that we all needed for what came next.
With 60 members of his extended family in Burundi Africa applying for visas, and only 12 of them being given them for the wedding - this event meant more to Gueric than anyone. It was not only a day celebrating his love to Eryn - but a day celebrating a reunion of his African family who he hadn’t seen in 6 years. And from polaroids taken during their ceremony to a Burundian Traditional Drumming Ceremony - this wedding focused on what matters most in life: Love.
Eryn + Gueric met working at a church camp. After talking on the phone every night for 2 weeks, Eryn finally called out their relationship and asked Gueric “What is this?”. With his phone now on mute, Gueric whispered “Holy shit” under his breath. Then, unmuting his phone, and after a dramatic pause... he told Eryn, “I’m in”. And he’s been in ever since.

"We rolled the dice with booking Jake and Nate as we had not met or even talked to them before but were blown away by their gorgeous work. We could not have been more pleased with their flexibility, professionalism and ability to make people who have no business being in front of a camera look like naturals. Thank you for capturing our special day perfectly!"
Pete and Kelly originally met in middle school as two competitive soccer goalkeepers. They weren't huge fans of one another at the beginning, but YEARS later, they reconnected toward the end of college back in their hometown. It was Christmas break, and they ran into each other down town (Kelly made the first move). They officially stared dating on the 4th of July in 2014 under the fireworks in Lake Tahoe and got engaged in their hometown at one of their first date locations in March of 2019.
They choose to get married in Hawaii for a few reasons. Hawaii has significance to their family: Kelly's grandparents lived there for the majority of her childhood and her sister was married at the SAME location where Kelly + Pete stayed for their wedding. Plus, with their family and friends being spread out all over the world, the idea of spending ONE evening with the ones they loved didn’t sit well with them. But being in Hawaii, they got to spend quality time with everyone in attendance, with most staying for a few days. This also allowed them to focus on each other and enjoy our day without the concern of entertaining and making time with each person there. On the day of their wedding, a telegram arrived from Kelly's grandparents who were unable to make it. Her grandfather’s dementia had progressed to a level where it would not have been safe for them to travel. He has since passed and that telegram is framed and hanging in our home. It’s one of Kelly's favorite keepsakes from that day.
